Job summary

HearingLife in Plymouth, MI offers an Audiology externship for AuD students to gain hands-on experience under seasoned clinicians. You will participate in evaluations, fittings, and patient education while building a professional network across our nationwide centers.

You will be mentored by audiologists, with opportunities to attend manufacturer workshops and potentially transition to full-time roles as HearingLife prioritizes internal promotion.

• Appointment documentation
• Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments
• Ordering/servicing hearing aids
• Earmold impressions
• Conduct follow up calls with patients.
• Participate in clinic/company meetings.

Salary range is $19-23/hr

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.
• Continuous Growth: Thrive in an environment of learning and development by participating in monthly manufacturer-lead workshops or meet one-on-one with trainers for individualized learning.
