Job summary

HearingLife in Ogden, UT is seeking Audiology Doctoral students for an externship to jump-start your career with hands-on clinical experience and mentorship from licensed audiologists. You’ll participate in evaluations, patient engagement, and fitting support in a structured clinical setting.

The externship offers exposure to pediatric and vestibular testing, virtual nationwide peer connections, and monthly workshops with manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Must actively be in an AuD program.

Responsibilities

• Learn from your preceptor and document appointments.
• Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments.
• Ordering/servicing hearing aids.
• Earmold impressions.
• Conduct follow up calls with patients.
• Participate in clinic/company meetings.
• Any task beneficial to your clinic.

Salary range is $19-23/hr

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.
