Job summary

HearingLife is seeking Audiology Doctoral students for externships at our Centerville, OH clinics. This externship offers hands-on evaluations, patient engagement, and access to mentorship from experienced audiologists.

You will participate in guided learning experiences across pediatric and vestibular testing where available. Compensation is competitive and includes benefits such as tuition reimbursement and opportunities for internal advancement.

Qualifications

• Must actively be in an AuD program.
• Externship requires hands-on participation in evaluations and patient engagement.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on learning from day 1 with audiologists and completion of comprehensive evaluations.
• Appointment documentation and patient follow-up duties.
• Lead selection, fitting, follow-up and service appointments for hearing aids.
• Ordering/servicing hearing aids and earmold impressions.
• Participate in clinic meetings and manufacturer-led trainings.
• Engage in community outreach and volunteer initiatives.

Salary range is $19-23/hr

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.
