Job summary

HearingLife in Exeter, NH, part of the Demant Group, is offering an Audiology Externship for AuD students to gain hands-on experience with evaluations, fittings, and patient care under expert mentorship.

You will work with state-of-the-art equipment, connect with externs nationwide, and access monthly workshops, with opportunities to transition to full-time roles within HearingLife.

Must be actively enrolled in an AuD program; compensation is $22-$26 per hour.

• Assist with fittings, earmold impressions, and follow-up appointments.

Salary range is $22-26/hr

Responsibilities

• - Hands-On Learning: From day 1, gain practical experience and mentorship from audiologists in comprehensive evaluations, patient engagement, and solution-oriented education. Clinics may also offer experience in pediatric and vestibular testing.
• - Peer interaction: You'll virtually connect with externs nationwide, building a supportive network for structured encouragement. This collaboration enhances clinical skills and insights into office operations.

Daily Extern Responsibilities

• Learn, ask questions to your preceptor.
• Appointment documentation
• Lead selection, fitting, follow-up, and service appointments
• Ordering/servicing hearing aids
• Earmold impressions
• Conduct follow up calls with patients.
• Participate in clinic/company meetings.
• Any task beneficial to your clinic
