UCSF Health seeks an Audiology Assistant to join the Ambulatory Audiology team. Under supervision of the Audiology team and Ambulatory Practice Manager, you will assist with hearing aid troubleshooting, pediatric testing support, and equipment maintenance across UCSF Health sites (Mt.

Zion, Mission Bay, Parnassus, and affiliated clinics). The role includes chart records, referral management, and administrative support, with full training and registration as an audiologic aide with the California

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years related experience; or college degree with 6 months related experience.
• Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
• Ability to work with computers; some experience using spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel, Access and word processing programs such as Microsoft Word.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be pleasant with a clear speaking voice that is understandable and audible to general hearing impaired public.
• Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultures and diverse socioeconomic situations.
• Must be become registered with the California Speech Pathology and Audiology Board as an audiologic aide upon hiring.
• American Heart Association BLS – CPR Certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist audiologist with hearing aid troubleshooting and repairs.
• Support pediatric testing under supervision.
• Maintain clinical equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Handle chart records and referral management.
• Provide administrative support as directed by Practice Leadership.
