Job summary

Chicago ENT in Chicago, IL seeks an Audiologist to diagnose and treat patients with ear and hearing issues, support otolaryngology physicians, and contribute to marketing and growth initiatives. The role involves testing, interpretation, habilitation services, and collaboration with internal and external colleagues.

Qualifications

• Au.D. or master’s in audiology required or equivalent.
• CCC-A certification required if supervising externs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize daily work.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and critical-thinking abilities.
• Minimum of one year clinical audiology experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Function as an independent professional and service provider with a focus on customer service.
• Support physicians during daily patient schedules; see patients referred for hearing aids.
• Schedule, administer and interpret tests (air/bone conduction, speech tests) to determine impairment.
• Evaluate results with clinical and educational information to determine communication problems.
• Schedule, administer and interpret electrophysiological testing including OAE.
• Introduce new testing modalities and technology to improve care.
• Plan and implement hearing aid selection, orientation, counseling and programming.
• Perform insurance checks and prior authorizations for hearing aid coverage.
• Contribute to marketing strategies to promote growth of practice.
• Provide earmold fitting for hearing protection and water protection.
• Maintain and calibrate audiological equipment; order supplies.
• Act as consultant to educational, medical, legal groups.
• Maintain 20 CEU hours every 2 years for licensure.
