FSDB is seeking an Audiologist – 7% Specialist to provide comprehensive audiological services for students in the FSDB community, including evaluations, ear mold services, amplification management, and collaboration with the Speech Language Department.

FSDB is a state public school available at no cost to eligible pre‑K and K‑12 students who are deaf/hard of hearing, blind/visually impaired or deafblind, including boarding and transportation services. FSDB is nationally recognized for its comprehensive educational services, designed for the unique communication and accessibility needs of students. FSDB also provides educational outreach programs for children ages 0‑5 and their families. The FSDB experience provides students with the edge to do more, be more, and achieve more.
The incumbent of this position serves as an Audiologist and is responsible for provision of audiological services for the students in the assigned department(s) and Admissions students referred for audiological evaluation.
If licensure noted is not from Florida, upon appointment, shall obtain state of Florida licensure within a reasonable period of time;
Applicants who are selected for hire will be required to attain an Advanced proficiency in sign language within one year of hire.
Please note: FSDB provides education to acquire sign language skills.
Hiring Salary Range: 11‑month position $63,803.57 - $68,060.42. This range is inclusive of verified experience. Employees shall receive compensation for higher education beyond a Bachelor’s Degree as noted below.
Master’s Degree: additional $2,400
Master’s +30, or 2nd Master’s Degree, or Education Specialist, or Doctorate Degree: additional $2,400
Employees may earn any combination of degrees and receive that amount. Only one degree in each category will apply.
Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:00am to 4:00pm
