Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics seeks an Audiologist to provide comprehensive audiology services in our Lakeville Clinic and support the ENT practice in the same location.

Responsibilities include testing, counseling, and device recommendations, with ongoing training to stay current with hearing technologies. Casual/call schedule with Mon–Wed 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shifts.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from an accredited program.
• Minnesota Audiology License or eligibility for Minnesota licensure.
• Clinical experience in audiology, preferably in a healthcare/clinic setting.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients and families in hearing loss management.
• Evaluate hearing and balance disorders to guide treatment.
• Participate in conferences or training on new treatment methods.
• Conduct or direct research on hearing topics to improve procedures.
• Administer hearing tests using specialized instruments and equipment.
• Assist in marketing efforts to promote private practice growth.
• Recommend assistive devices based on patient needs.

Provide audiology services in a clinic setting and support our ENT practice at our Lakeville Clinic.

Compensation

We are committed to providing compensation information for all open positions. The wage range for this position is $36.50—$51.53 per hour. Compensation is determined based on experience, education, and internal equity considerations.

Key Accountabilities

• Counsel and instruct patients and their families in techniques to improve hearing and communication related to hearing loss.
• Evaluate hearing and balance disorders to determine diagnoses and courses of treatment.
• Participate in conferences or training to update or share knowledge of new hearing or balance disorder treatment methods or technologies.
• Conduct or direct research on hearing or balance topics and report findings to help in the development of procedures, technology, or treatments.
• Administer hearing tests and examine patients to collect information on type and degree of impairment, using specialized instruments and electronic equipment.
• Engage in marketing activities, such as developing marketing plans, to promote business for private practices.
• Recommend assistive devices according to patients’ needs or nature of impairments.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from an accredited program.
• Current Minnesota Audiology License, or eligibility for Minnesota licensure.
• Clinical experience in audiology, preferably in a healthcare or clinic setting.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Experience providing comprehensive audiology services in a clinical or healthcare setting.
• Experience working with patients across a range of ages and hearing-related needs.

• Casual/Call
• Varying Days/Shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM
