Allina Health is seeking a licensed audiologist to join our ENT and Audiology team at Cambridge, MN. You will provide diagnostic and therapeutic audiology services, including behavioral, electrophysiological tests, and fitting/hearing aid dispensing, while counseling patients and families.

The role offers a variable FTE, no-call or weekends, and the opportunity to work with adult and pediatric patients across a busy clinic. Collaboration with a high-functioning ENT audiology team is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Audiology required.
• Board Certification (ABR/CCC-A) upon hire or similar credential required.
• Minnesota Audiology Licensure upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care providing audiologic services and managing hearing loss.
• Evaluate and interpret electrophysiologic tests; fit and verify hearing devices.
• Counsel patients and families on treatment options and device use.

Job Summary

Provides diagnostic and therapeutic audiology services by selecting and administering behavioral, electrophysiological and other relevant tests, determining type and degree of hearing impairment and effects on comprehension and speech. Establishes treatment goals, fits hearing aides and other assistive devices and counsels patients and families.

Key Position Details

• Open to .5 - 1.0 FTE at our Cambridge location
• 5 8-hour days (if 1.0 FTE)
• No call or weekends.
• Average patient load: 10-12/day.
• We see all ages for hearing tests and hearing aids, and bone anchored hearing aids. We have a new program with cochlear implants for adults.
• Days vary with hearing aids and hearing tests; ENT audiograms pre-scheduled as best as possible
• Opportunity for specialized testing such as ABR and vestibular also an option.
• Variety of visits throughout the day:
  • ENT/Audios: 30 mins
  • Hearing aid rechecks: 30 mins
  • Hearing aid consults and fittings: 60 mins
  • Hearing tests: 60 mins
• You would be a part of a high functioning team that collaborates well together. We are open to new or experienced Audiologists.

Job Description

Principle Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care
  • Provides audiologic services to diagnose hearing loss and provide appropriate management.
  • Assesses patient's hearing status to determine appropriate medical/surgical treatment and/or auditory rehabilitation.
  • Performs and interprets electrophysiologic testing.
  • Provides diagnostic information and confirmation of behavioral test results on children.
• Hearing instrumentation management
  • Evaluates, fits and repairs hearing instruments.
  • Counsels patients regarding hearing aid use.
  • Manages the hearing aid dispensary.

Job Requirements

• Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Audiology from an accredited program required
• 0 to 2 years experience providing diagnostic evaluations and recommendations to patients of all ages required and
• 0 to 2 years knowledge and interest in hearing aid fitting and dispensing procedures required
• Board Certification Board Certification by the American Board of Audiology upon hire required or
• Certificate of Clinical Competence Certificate of Clinical Competence received from American Speech and Hearing Association upon hire required and
• Audiology Licensure Audiology Licensure received from Minnesota Department of Health upon hire required

Pay Range

Pay Range: $41.28 to $57.11 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
