Job summary

The Student Audio Visual Technician at American University’s Washington College of Law supports audiovisual equipment for classes, conferences, and events. You will help students, faculty, and staff via phone, email, and ticketing systems. This is a part-time role with 20–25 hours weekly, scheduled in the evenings and some Saturdays.

Salary is $18.40 per hour. The position is limited to enrolled AU students, with Work Study considerations and AU employment policies applying.

Summary

The Student Audio Visual Technician will assist with the setup and operation of audiovisual equipment for classes, conferences, and special events at the Washington College of Law. The Technician also provides support to students, faculty, and staff by answering the phone, responding to emails, and creating support tickets.

• Video production projects, including interviews and instructional videos.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

Salary Range

$18.40 per hour.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

We are currently seeking help during evening hours. The AV office hours are 8:00 am until 10:00 pm Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am until 5:00 pm on Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm. There will be occasional opportunities for extra coverage outside regular business hours for conferences or events.
