Job summary

Electra Link Inc in Texas seeks an experienced AV Technician to install commercial audiovisual equipment on projects ranging from single-room setups to multi-building installations. You will work closely with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high-quality results.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of AV installation experience and the ability to read construction and signal flow drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of AV installation experience.
• Ability to read and implement construction and signal flow drawings.
• High standards of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering, and crimping.
• Ability to test completed systems fully for engineering specs and operational functionality.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues as they arise.
• Network cabling is a plus.
• CTS certifications are a plus.
• Familiar with Extron, Crestron, AMX, and Audio DSP Systems; manufacturer certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run AV projects on-site.
• Adhere to company and client safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with the project manager to ensure productivity, job completion, and budget compliance.
• Serve as the main on-site customer contact for questions and concerns.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.

Job Overview:

The AV Technician is responsible for the installation of commercial and professional audiovisual equipment. This position requires working closely with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and clients to complete projects on time, within budget, and with excellent quality.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for running an AV projects
• Responsible for adhering to the company’s and client’s safety guidelines.
• Coordinates with the project manager to ensure productivity, job completion, and compliance with the budget.
• Serves are the main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns.
• Performs work consistently, demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge and being able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

• Be self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision.
• Minimum of 5 years of AV installation experience.
• Ability to read and implement construction and signal flow drawings.
• High standards of workmanship on cabling, lacing, soldering, and crimping.
• Ability to test completed systems fully for both engineering specifications and operational functionality.
