Job description
Deliver and install audio-visual equipment including audio systems, video systems, control systems, video conferencing equipment, equipment racks, and related furniture.
Run and route cabling through walls, ceilings, floors, and other building structures.
Terminate cables using appropriate connectors and methods such as soldering, compression, crimping, and insulation displacement.
Assemble, load, and wire equipment racks and AV furniture with required components.
Mount screens, projectors, displays, lifts, speakers, and other AV equipment to walls or ceiling structures.
Perform basic testing of cabling and equipment to verify proper termination and system performance.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Demonstrate knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
Review blueprints, schematics, and work orders to install, relocate, repair, or remove audio and video communication systems.
Travel to job sites as required.
Requirements for Success
High school diploma or GED required.
