Job description

• Deliver and install audio-visual equipment including audio systems, video systems, control systems, video conferencing equipment, equipment racks, and related furniture.
• Run and route cabling through walls, ceilings, floors, and other building structures.
• Terminate cables using appropriate connectors and methods such as soldering, compression, crimping, and insulation displacement.
• Assemble, load, and wire equipment racks and AV furniture with required components.
• Mount screens, projectors, displays, lifts, speakers, and other AV equipment to walls or ceiling structures.
• Perform basic testing of cabling and equipment to verify proper termination and system performance.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Demonstrate knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and work orders to install, relocate, repair, or remove audio and video communication systems.
• Travel to job sites as required.

Requirements for Success

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of structured cabling or AV installation experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Schedule

• 8–10 hour shifts
• Monday through Friday
• Night shift and weekend availability may be required
