Job summary

INSPIRE is seeking an Audio Visual Supervisor to join our team at the Renaissance Montgomery in Montgomery, AL. You will supervise hotel AV technicians and ensure service standards are met and exceeded for client events.

Responsibilities include verifying inventory, setting up and troubleshooting equipment, coordinating event flows, guiding staff, and upselling AV services while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of audio visual experience is required.
• 1–3 years hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 or more years of experience leading a team is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify that the AV equipment needed is in our inventory before the event.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot all equipment devices and systems.
• Ensure all equipment is fully operational and repair/clean when necessary.
• Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge of programming, setup, testing and troubleshooting of AV equipment and software.
• Label broken equipment.
• Check delivered equipment and room set up against Banquet Event Orders/Flow Sheets.
• Communicate additions or deletions to flowsheets.
• Break down, remove and secure equipment.
• Perform daily floor management including directing technician workflow and scheduling.
• Understand acoustics and sound amplification for events and operations.
• Assist guests with proper usage of AV equipment.
• Upsell AV services.
• Monitor equipment operation.
• Assist management in hiring, training, motivating and coaching employees.

Job Summary

The Supervisor will assist and direct assigned Hotel Audiovisual Technicians in day to day operations ensuring that all levels of service and standards of operations are met and exceeded in the perception of our clients and customers

What Will You Be Doing

• Verify that the AV equipment needed is in our inventory before the event

• Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge of programming setup testing and troubleshooting of AV equipment and software

• Perform daily floor management including directing the workflow of technicians and assisting management with labor needs and scheduling
• Understand acoustics and sound amplification to support temporary and permanent equipment solutions for events and daily operations
• Assist and instruct guestscustomers regarding proper usageoperation of AV equipment
• Upsell AV services
• Monitor equipment operation
• Assist management in hiring training motivating and coaching employees; and serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair TreatmentOpen Door Policy process
• Other tasks as requested

What Do You Need

• 2 5 years of audio visual experience is required
• 1 3 years of hospitality experience is preferred
• 1 or more years of experience leading a team is preferred
• Knowledge of technical theory
• Knowledge of technical theory
• Advanced problem solving skills
• Experience leading workflow and team members
• Must have great organizational skills with a focus on deadlines and prioritization
