Job summary

A tech solutions company in Herndon, Virginia, is seeking an Audio-Visual Specialist. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting classroom AV systems, performing preventative maintenance, and providing support for events. Candidates should have an associate's degree or three years of AV support experience, and certifications in AV technology are required. This position offers a competitive salary between $90K and $105K per annum along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in related field OR three years of AV support experience is required.
• Event support experience preferred.
• Certifications in Audiovisual Technology are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot classroom AV systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on projection and AV equipment.
• Replace projector bulbs, filters, and hardware components.
• Track tickets in AESMP and SharePoint systems.
• Provide 2-hour response / 4-hour resolution for classroom issues.
• Support command ceremonies and special events.
• Maintain accountability of AV equipment and repair parts.
• Interpret signal flow diagrams and schematics.

Required skills and experience

• Associate’s degree in related field OR Three (3) years of AV support experience.
• Event support experience preferred
• Certifications: InfoComm International Certification in Audiovisual Technology (required). CTS Installation preferred. Basic Crestron, AMX, Biamp, and Extron training within 120 days of award.
