The City of McKinney seeks an IT Specialist focused on AV to support city meetings and the Video Production team. You will install, configure, and maintain AV systems, assist in Crestron installations, and provide end-user training and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in IT or related field and at least three years of AV experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work across departments in a fast-paced environment.

Under general supervision, this position will help facilitate the efficient functioning of different meetings organized by the city departments, including Council meetings and Planning and Zoning meetings. They will support the City's Video Production team in ensuring that all audiovisual equipment is operational. Responsibilities also include offering assistance in AV conference rooms, coordinating support for current and upcoming Crestron installations, as well as overseeing overhead paging support and installation. Installation tasks involve setting up TVs, projectors, overhead paging systems, and digital signs
Any work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the below Minimum Qualifications may be an acceptable substitute for the below specified education and experience requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Telecommunications, or a related field. Three (3) years minimum experience working with Audio Visual equipment.
Must possess the initiative to manage multiple tasks independently with little direct supervision.
Tasks require the ability to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds). Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
