Job summary

Astreya seeks a versatile AV/UCC coordinator in New York to blend up to Tier 3 event production with End User Services support, covering onsite, virtual, hybrid, and occasional offsite events.

You will review plans, configure and test systems, support rehearsals and executives, troubleshoot live issues, and document resolutions while coordinating with venues, vendors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in AV, live event production, UCC, or technical support.
  • Strong working knowledge of professional audio, video, conferencing, presentation, recording, and collaboration technologies.
  • Experience supporting live corporate events and troubleshooting issues in high-pressure environments.
  • Working knowledge of end-user computing, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, operating systems, connectivity, and common software issues.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing requests, and shift between event, AV/UCC, and end-user support responsibilities.
  • Ability and willingness to periodically travel to and manage offsite events as required by the business.
  • Flexibility to support event schedules that may occasionally require adjusted working hours.

Responsibilities

  • Support onsite, virtual, hybrid, and occasional offsite events from pre-production through event closeout.
  • Review technical plans, run of show documentation, equipment requirements, and production schedules
  • Set up, configure, test, operate, and troubleshoot audio, video, conferencing, presentation, playback, recording, and related event systems
  • Support rehearsals, presenters, executives, and live event delivery
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly during live events
  • Capture and deliver event recordings and complete basic post-event documentation
  • Periodically manage offsite events, including coordination with venues and vendors, equipment deployment, technical setup, live operation, troubleshooting, and event closeout
  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance on AV and UCC systems, conference rooms, and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot AV hardware, control systems, network-connected devices, and supported collaboration platforms
  • Provide Tier 1 End User Services support when required, including hardware, software, peripherals, user accounts, connectivity, mobility, and basic workstation troubleshooting
  • Fulfill end-user hardware requests, equipment setups, replacements, and office support needs
  • Document incidents, service requests, system changes, and resolutions in the appropriate systems
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate Tier 2/Tier 3, engineering, infrastructure, or vendor teams
  • Provide a high level of customer service and collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and client stakeholders

Job description

This blended role provides up to Tier 3 event production and AV/UCC support while also assisting with End User Services and Tier 1 helpdesk tasks as required by the business.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong experience with Zoom Rooms, Q-SYS, Dante, NDI, digital audio consoles, video switchers, PTZ camera systems, IPTV, and enterprise AV networking
  • AVIXA CTS-I/CTS-D, Q-SYS Level 2, and/or Dante Certifications

The role requires flexibility to shift between event delivery, AV/UCC support, and Tier 1 end-user support based on business priorities, with scheduled and business-critical events taking priority.
