Job Summary

The Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for:

1. Pulling and terminating cables
2. Understanding cable flow and installation
3. Installing equipment and wall rack equipment, reading wire diagrams
4. Programming proprietary equipment for the Company’s clients

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Dress, label, pull, cut, and terminate cables
• Install, connect, and manage video routers and switches
• Install cameras
• Identify cable types including, but not limited to: SVID, Composite, RBGHV, CAT 5, CAT 6, SDI, Fiber, HDMI, DVI
• Mount and dress displays of various sizes including wall panels
• Program various equipment
• Troubleshoot complex audio-video equipment for clients
• Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts, recording serial and model numbers
• Complete and update daily reports, project photos, timecards, and project status
• Partner with co-workers and management to provide excellent customer service
• Complete all projects in high-quality and in accordance with scope
• Adhere to company Mission, Vision, and Values
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, cable toners, striping cables, and network cable testers
• Ability to dress racks
• Ability to read, interpret, and communicate reflected ceiling plans, elevation drawings, and room flow diagrams
• Identify and understand various source plates
• Knowledge of basics of AC/DC voltage
• Experience with Microsoft Office and web portals
• Ability to fit into tight spaces
• Quick learner of new computer programs and mobile devices
• Sound decision-making and escalation skills
• Respond effectively to inquiries or complaints

Qualification Standards

Education: High School Diploma, technical trade school, or equivalent

Experience: Minimum of two years in audio-video integration

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

The primary environment is an indoor medical setting with 100% travel to project locations. Employees must comply with safety provisions and PPE in hazardous conditions. The role involves exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, high places, chemicals, vibration, and requires close visual acuity for data analysis and reading.
