Job description

Job Summary

The Audio-Visual Integration Technician is responsible for pulling and terminating cables, understanding cable flow and installation, installing equipment and wall rack equipment using wire diagrams, and programming proprietary equipment for the Company’s clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Dress, label, pull, cut, and terminate cables.
  • Install, connect, and manage video routers and switches.
  • Install cameras.
  • Identify cable types including, but not limited to: SVID, Composite, RGBHV, CAT 5, CAT 6, SDI, Fiber, HDMI, DVI.
  • Mount and dress displays of various sizes, including wall panels.
  • Program various equipment.
  • Troubleshoot complex audio-video equipment for clients.
  • Manage inventory of repair and replacement parts, including recording serial and model numbers.
  • Complete and update daily reports, project photos, timecards, and project status.
  • Partner with co-workers and management to provide excellent customer service.
  • Complete projects in high quality and in accordance with scope.
  • Adhere to company Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient with voltage meters, soldering irons, tone generators, multimeters, cable toners, and network cable testers.
  • Ability to dress racks.
  • Read and interpret ceiling plans, elevation drawings, and room flow diagrams.
  • Identify various source plates.
  • Basic knowledge of AC/DC voltage.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and web portals.
  • Ability to fit into tight spaces like ceiling panels and closets.
  • Quick learner of new computer programs and mobile devices.
  • Make sound decisions and escalate issues efficiently.
  • Respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma, technical trade school, or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of two years in an audio-video integration environment.

Skills

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Physical Requirements & Environment

Primarily indoor medical setting with 100% travel to project sites. May involve hazardous conditions requiring PPE. Includes exposure to noise, mechanical parts, electrical hazards, high places, chemicals, vibration, and high heat. Must have close visual acuity for detailed tasks.

Compensation & Benefits

$25.00 - $30.00 based on experience.
