Prince Technologies, LLC in Knoxville, TN, is hiring an AV Technician to support commercial and house of worship projects across East Tennessee. This field opening requires readiness to hit the ground running on installations, troubleshooting, and commissioning with lead experience a big plus.

You will install displays, cameras, projectors, cables, and control systems; read diagrams; and ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of AV installation experience in commercial environments.
• 2+ years of field engineering / commissioning experience.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably at heights.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Install AV hardware: displays, cameras, projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, and more.
• Terminate AV cabling (shielded category cable, XLR, ¼", BNC/SDI) to industry standards.
• Pull, terminate, label, and test structured cabling for audio/video systems.
• Read system line diagrams and execute the intended design.
• Troubleshoot and commission AV systems, including video conferencing and control platforms.
• Build rack systems and support structures to industry safety standards.
• Work from ladders and lifts (20-30 ft) following OSHA standards.
• Provide Project Managers daily updates on installation status and next-day plans.

AV Technician (Lead Experience Preferred) — Immediate Opening

Prince Technologies is hiring an AV Technician to join our team serving East Tennessee and surrounding areas. This is an immediate field opening — we need someone ready to hit the ground running on commercial and House of Worship AV projects.

We're looking for someone with solid field experience installing and troubleshooting commercial AV systems. Lead experience and commissioning background are a big plus, as is familiarity with Q-SYS, Biamp, or Crestron.

What You'll Do

• Install AV hardware: displays, cameras, projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, and more

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Dante, or Shure
• Ability to configure IP addresses, update firmware, and tune audio
• CTS certification (AVIXA) or Dante Level 1 Certification
• Soldering experience
• Church or corporate AV background
• Experience with training customers or end-users on how to operate AV equipment
