Job summary

Complete Production Resources, Inc ( CPR ) is seeking an Audio Technician to set up equipment and systems for events, report equipment issues, and maintain inventory in the warehouse. You will work under the Audio Warehouse Manager and show managers, ensuring safety and CPR standards throughout preparation and teardown.

The role requires 3+ years with industry equipment, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and a willingness to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; college education preferred with 3-5 years’ experience in the entertainment production industry.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience using industry equipment, not limited to Yamaha CL/QL consoles, Digico Consoles, Avid Consoles, L-Acoustic loudspeakers & controllers, Lab Gruppen PLM amplifiers, Lab Gruppen/Lake software, Shure RF products, Clear-Com.
  • Must pass criminal background check and have reliable transportation; punctuality required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and QC equipment in CPR standards.
  • Prep outgoing orders to show-ready standard.
  • Report damages and issues on equipment per CPR procedures.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshoot equipment; communicate actions to Manager.
  • Maintain department inventory.
  • Maintain a positive, supportive attitude; report policy violations to Manager.
  • Assist in training new hires and existing personnel on SOPs.
  • Work in Flex Rental Inventory software.
  • On occasion, may act as a driver.
  • Fulfill show-site roles and support the show as needed.
  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable client interaction to ensure quality events.
  • Represent a cohesive team for each event.
  • Load/unload trucks; lift equipment daily.

The job and purpose of all CPR employees is to maintain and ensure that the established company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols are adhered to and always maintained. The Audio Technicians position requires technical skill, knowledge and experience working with professional audio equipment.


Audio Technicians

The job and purpose of all CPR employees is to maintain and ensure that the established company policies, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols are adhered to and always maintained. The Audio Technicians position requires technical skill, knowledge and experience working with professional audio equipment. Reports directly to the Audio Warehouse Manager while working in the warehouse, and the corresponding show manager or lead when on a job site. Audio technicians set up equipment and systems in preparation of events, completing tasks assigned during show, striking at the conclusion of events, and ensuring equipment is protected and secured during down periods.


Warehouse Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities of Audio Technicians


  • Receive and QC equipment in the manner as instructed to follow CPR standards.

  • Prep any outgoing orders as assigned in a complete and show ready standard.

  • Report damages and issues on equipment following CPR procedures.

  • Perform maintenance as needed and/or instructed on equipment and troubleshoot damaged equipment and communicate to Manager on a course of action.

  • Participates and maintains department inventory on a regular basis.

  • Always maintains a positive and supportive attitude. Reports to Manager of any and all personnel conflicts, grievances from other staff, and any violations of company policies.

  • Assists in training new hires, training existing personnel in company SOPs as needed.

  • Works in Flex Rental Inventory software.

  • On occasion, may be asked to act as a driver.


Show Site Responsibilities


  • Fulfill the role assigned for that show and assist others as needed.

  • Interpret and utilize any advance prep information in such a way to produce an efficient and productive experience on site.

  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable interaction with clients and artists in a manner that produces quality events.

  • Work as a team to represent a cohesive, capable group for the event.

  • Report damages and issues on equipment following CPR procedures.

  • Always maintains a positive and supportive attitude. Reports to Manager of any and all personnel conflicts, grievances from other staff, and any violations of company policies.

  • On occasion, may be asked to act as a driver.


Audio Technician Qualifications


  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Must pass criminal background check and have reliable transportation; punctuality required.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience using industry equipment, not limited to: Yamaha CL/QL consoles, Digico Consoles, Avid Consoles, L-Acoustic loudspeakers & controllers, Lab Gruppen PLM amplifiers, Lab Gruppen/Lake software, Shure RF products, Clear-Com.

  • Intermediate understanding of but not limited to: RF deployment, signal flow, Dante networking, festival stage patching, microphone techniques.

  • On site experience including basic generator connectivity, rigging equipment and practices, forklift, and boom lift operating; fork/boom/rigging certification is a plus.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive vans, small to large box trucks.

  • Ability to load/unload trucks, overhead lifting, lifting over 50lbs, and pushing items over 100lbs daily.

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and Flex Inventory control software knowledge a plus.
