Job summary

Complete Production Resources, Inc ( CPR ) is seeking a Warehouse Technician in Orlando to maintain and repair lighting, audio, backline, and staging gear. You will report to the Warehouse Manager and support on job sites with skilled equipment handling and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, ensuring 100% complete gear, training staff, and assisting on shows as needed. Requires HS diploma, 3+ years experience, valid license, and forklift familiarity.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; college education preferred.
  • Minimum of three years working experience.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clear motor vehicle record.

  • Schedules, coordinates and performs preventative maintenance to all owned and sub-rented lighting equipment based on established quality control processes.
  • Ensures all equipment and packages are always 100% complete and show ready.
  • Assists in prepping all equipment to be scanned to outbound orders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot damaged equipment and communicates actions to department manager.
  • Works in Flex Rental Inventory software.
  • Assists in training warehouse staff in proper handling, loading and shipping of equipment.
  • Maintains department inventory regularly.
  • Reports conflicts or policy violations to the department manager.
  • Assists in training new hires and existing personnel in SOPs.
  • On occasion, may fill in on shows and act as a driver.

Position Description

The job and purpose of all CPR employees is to maintain and ensure that the established company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety protocols are adhered to and maintained at all times. The Warehouse Technician position requires technical skill, knowledge and experience working with professional lighting, audio, backline, and/or staging equipment. The Warehouse Technician reports directly to the corresponding department Warehouse Manager while working in the warehouse, and the corresponding department Show Manager when on a job site.

Primary Responsibilities Of a Warehouse Technician
  • Schedules, coordinates and performs preventative maintenance to all owned and sub-rented lighting equipment based on companies established quality control processes.
  • Ensures all equipment and packages are always 100% complete and show ready.
  • Assists in prepping all equipment to be scanned to outbound orders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot damaged equipment and communicates to department manager on a course of action. Follows up with Logistics and Sales Managers on status changes on equipment.
  • Works in Flex Rental Inventory software.
  • Assists in training warehouse staff in proper handling, loading and shipping of equipment.
  • Participates and maintains department inventory on a regular basis.
  • Maintains a positive and supportive attitude at all times. Reports to department manager of any and all personnel conflicts, grievances from other staff, and any violations of company policies.
  • Assists in training new hires, training existing personnel in company SOPs.
  • On occasion, may be asked to fill in on shows and act as a driver.
Qualifications Of a Warehouse Technician
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality required.
  • High School Diploma required. College education preferred.
  • Minimum of three years working experience required.
  • Knowledge of rigging equipment and practices a plus.
  • Warehouse operations experience a plus.
  • Fork Lift driving experience required. Certified Forklift Operator is a plus.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clear motor vehicle record.
  • Must have ability to drive vans, small to large box trucks and pass criminal background check.
  • Ability to load/unload trucks, overhead lifting, lifting over 50lbs, and pushing items over 100lbs on a daily basis.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Flex Inventory control software knowledge a plus.
