Job summary

Entravision is seeking an experienced Audio Technician / Audio Operator for its fast-paced streaming news operation in Miami, FL. You will manage audio during live and recorded productions, ensuring clean, consistent sound across anchors, guests, remote feeds, and other production elements.

The role requires 2–3+ years operating audio in television or live production, with proficiency in professional digital audio consoles and broadcast workflows.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience operating audio for TV, live production, streaming, or similar environments.
• Experience with professional digital audio consoles and broadcast audio workflows.
• Understanding of IFB, mix-minus, microphone systems, routing, and remote/live feeds.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to remain focused under pressure.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven newsroom.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and breaking-news coverage.
• Understanding of Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn new technology and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Operate the audio console during live newscasts, breaking news, rehearsals, and recorded productions.
• Mix microphones, remote guests, live reporters, video playback, music, and other audio sources.
• Perform microphone setup, IFB checks, audio routing, and pre-show testing.
• Monitor incoming remote feeds and troubleshoot audio issues before and during live broadcasts.
• Work closely with the Technical Director, Production Manager, and control room team to execute productions smoothly.
• Maintain proper audio levels and broadcast-quality sound across all platforms.
• Assist with studio audio equipment setup, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Adapt quickly during breaking news, last-minute changes, and extended live coverage.

Summary

Entravision is looking for a skilled and dependable Audio Technician / Audio Operator to join our fast-paced streaming news operation.
