Simon & Schuster US hires multiple Junior Associate Producers to support S&S Maverick Audio in all aspects of production. Excellent writing and communications skills are essential, as is a love of books and audio.

Based in NYC with a hybrid work arrangement, you will assist with recording prep, script review, research, and coordination of authors, actors, and freelance staff, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Administrative experience in publishing/production preferred.
• Must be proficient with computers (Macs and PCs), Excel, Acrobat, and file formatting.
• Must also be detail-oriented, highly organized, and a careful reader.
• Technical familiarity with audio file formats is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in production for S&S Maverick Audio, including preparation for recording sessions, script review, and pronunciation research.
• Coordinate authors, actors, and freelance production staff.
• Support senior staff through pre-production, recording, and post-production.
• Involve in casting, manuscript coordination, credits, schedules, post-production file management, and deadline tracking.
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
