Job summary

Capgemini in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks an Audio Integration & Active Sound (AIAS) Engineer to own development, validation, and integration of audio systems across vehicle programs. This on-site role requires collaboration with Vehicle Function writers, specification creation, and guiding AIAS components from concept to production.

You will manage BOMs, CNs, DVP&R and DFMEA for AIAS parts; support pre-production builds, tuning, NVH evaluations, and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Fundamental understanding of vehicle electrical systems and audio system functionality.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong planning, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own audio and active sound system development, validation, and integration at vehicle, system, and component levels.
• Collaborate with VF and CFTS writers to align specs with vehicle programs.
• Create and maintain system-level AIAS specifications (EQs, CPDs, SGIDs).
• Analyze vehicle program series cards to optimize audio systems and reduce complexity.
• Define and release wiring harness definitions for AIAS components in iSpeed.
• Lead packaging and design for speakers, amplifiers, and mounting needs.
• Develop and track DVP&R and DFMEA for AIAS components and systems.
• Support pre-production vehicle builds to ensure manufacturing readiness.
