Job summary

Apple, Inc. is seeking a Product Design Engineering Program Manager in Cupertino, CA to lead the mechanical development and implementation of audio product components.

You’ll drive day-to-day activities, engage cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery through design, development planning and validation cycles. The role emphasizes strong communication, collaboration, and proactive leadership to balance objectives and navigate challenging timelines.

Qualifications

• 4-8+ years of experience leading program management or mechanical engineering design of product development.
• Experience shipping high volume products and working with CM partners.
• Detailed knowledge of product development cycles and manufacturing processes.
• BS ME/EE degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support product definition and drive closure of architecture and technical opens in early stages of a project.
• Establish and manage program feature baseline, scheduling, budget, critical paths, and risk areas for execution through final delivery.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks in partnership with affected teams.
• Enable development by creating and monitoring efficient processes.
• Drive drawing releases and tooling kickoff with PD Engineering and vendors to meet schedules.
• Plan and execute prototype builds by directing OEM partners.
• Lead cross functional communication between project teams and external vendors.
• Manage day-to-day activities to meet project objectives including meetings among engineering stakeholders.
