A leading company in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Audio Engineer for part-time work, producing live audio for government meetings. Candidates must demonstrate significant experience in live mixing and audio production, particularly with Soundcraft equipment. The role requires effective communication skills and a commitment to professionalism in a team-oriented environment.
We are seeking an experienced Audio Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be producing live audio for government meetings for broadcast television and web-streaming. The Engineer is responsible for mixing all live audio using a Soundcraft Vi3000 audio board.
This is a part-time position. Productions are 1-2 times a week.
Monday 8 am- noon
Tuesday, 7:30 am to the end of the show. Usually 4 pm, but can go as late as 8 pm.
Overtime is paid for shifts going over 8 hours.
The location is on-site in downtown Los Angeles. Near Grand and Temple.
Applicants who feel they are a great match for this position should take the following steps to apply.
NOTE: Ideal applicants for this position will have front-of-house, live mixing experience. This is not an ideal position for someone who has only worked in a podcast environment or does not have live production experience. We are not looking for people who are looking to break into the industry. Experience is required. This is a live, sometimes high-pressure situation where you need to be able to act fast and think on your feet. Applicants who only work in slower-paced recording studios will not be a good fit.
Pay depends on experience. Broadcast experience is a plus. We are willing to pay a premium for individuals with expertise in broadcast audio production, BiAmp certification, and experience with Dante and Crestron interfaces.
Responsibilities
$30 - $60 hourly
