Job summary

Hansen Auction Group is seeking a Yard and Catalog Specialist to support the orderly, safe operation of the auction yard and facilities. You will catalog items, photograph and describe lots, and use AI-assisted tools to verify make, model, year, VIN, and condition where applicable.

Role includes operating heavy equipment for loading/unloading and assisting customers during open houses and pick-up, with potential deployment to off-site auctions to support cataloging and on-site operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred (forklift, telehandler, skid steer).
• Knowledge of farm/heavy equipment is helpful.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license; operation of company vehicles; driving/insurance eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Support the yard and auction layout for a clean, safe, and professional appearance.
• Organize and tag items for auction; take photos and upload to the auction website.
• Create accurate descriptions of auction items; use AI-assisted tools for identification and description validation.
• Operate heavy equipment to assist customers with loading/unloading; support off-site locations as needed.
• Assist customers in locating purchases and be visible during open houses.
