Job summary

ADESA is seeking a General Manager to lead a site with a focus on customer and employee experience, financial performance, and alignment with corporate initiatives. Reporting to the Regional Director, you’ll set the tone for operations and drive strategic execution.

You will identify growth opportunities, manage P&L, supervise leadership teams, and ensure safety, compliance, and strong communication across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with auction and automotive experience, or 5+ years of auction leadership.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership/supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to multitask with attention to detail.
• Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
• Proven ability to manage deliverables against targets and timelines.
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for business growth through customer engagements and sales visits.
• Lead site change initiatives and ensure timely follow-through with corporate directives.
• Review Profit and Loss with RD; reconcile accounts and control payroll and expenses.
• Monitor KPIs, leverage technology, and implement improvement plans.
• Handle customer disputes with a courteous, solutions-focused approach.
• Hire, train, and mentor site management; drive recruitment and onboarding.
• Maintain safety, security, and compliance with company policies across operations.
• Conduct monthly employee meetings to align on issues and teamwork.
