Job summary

Rivian Automotive seeks an Attributes Methods Engineer to design and maintain scalable engineering data pipelines and automation tooling. You will bridge engineering needs with software solutions, automating CAE/CFD workflows and deploying tools that accelerate vehicle development.

You will collaborate with the ASA team to deliver robust, user-friendly processes and contribute to AI-driven optimization while communicating findings clearly across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science or data science.
• 2–4 years of experience in engineering software or data tooling.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and agent creation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of GUI development and web technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Continuous Improvement: identify gaps and improve processes.
• Workflow automation: primarily Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
• Tooling development: build and maintain in-house desktop and web apps, automation scripts, and databases.
• Process integration: collaborate with attribute teams, IT, and PLM to integrate workflows.
• Optimization and AI: apply latest tools to improve efficiency.
• Cross-functional collaboration: work with vehicle attribute and design engineers.
• Communication: clearly convey ideas and progress to the team.
• Documentation: produce clear guides for tools and processes.
• Problem solving: troubleshoot bottlenecks and implement automated fixes.
• Advanced analysis support: assist HPC optimizations and CAE workflows.
