Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior CAE Automation Leader to build core Python frameworks, Physics AI models, and automated data pipelines for Vehicle Hardware Engineering. You will bridge structural mechanics with modern machine learning to accelerate next-generation vehicle development.

Lead AI & Automation strategy, unify virtual and physical validation, and translate simulation data into actionable insights for executives, while guiding global cross-functional teams and advancing CAE capabilities

Qualifications

Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Masters/Phd Preferred).
5-8+ years in Automotive CAE delivering complex programs.
Hands-on coding in Python or MATLAB for engineering automation.
Experience with ML frameworks or ROMs to accelerate cycles.
Understanding of structural/crash solvers (Abaqus, LS-DYNA).
Knowledge of FMVSS, ECE, NCAP safety regulations and risk countermeasures.
Leadership of cross-functional teams and Jira-based project delivery.

Responsibilities

Develop, drive, & implement AI & Automation strategy (Physics AI, Modsim, Python/MATLAB scripts).
Architect next-generation CAE-SDVP framework to reduce bottlenecks and hit milestones.
Own data pipeline connecting CAD, FEA/CFD, and physical testing for virtual-first development.
Build automated, real-time analytics pipelines and generate executive-ready reports.
