Job summary

Merlin Entertainments is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our attractions running safely and smoothly in Kansas City.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rides and building systems, working across electrical, carpentry, cabling, and data networks, with shifts that may include evenings and weekends.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced entertainment environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of maintenance experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic carpentry techniques and tools.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, cabling, and networking systems.
• Safe work practices, maintenance procedures, and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain attraction rides and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and control devices.
• Complete work orders, inspections, adjustments, and repairs.
• Install/replace light bulbs, doors, and other facility components.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance daily/weekly/monthly.
• Repair/paint interior walls, hang fixtures, assemble furniture.
• Install/maintain data cabling and networking connections.
• Monitor building systems for optimum performance.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment safely.
• Identify and report safety hazards.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe work areas.
• Support other maintenance-related projects.
