Job summary

Malibu Jack’s Indoor Family Entertainment Center in Springfield, IL is seeking an Attractions & Arcade Technician (Support) to assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing arcade games, rides, and attractions.

This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical, electrical, or technical background who wants hands-on experience, learns from a senior technician, and helps ensure guest-safety and smooth operation.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical or technical skills.
• Willingness to follow instructions under supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and on-call emergencies.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams or service manuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs on arcade games, small rides, and attractions
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate to senior technicians as needed
• Support daily operation checks to ensure attractions are guest-ready and safe
• Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory
• Assist with preventive maintenance per manufacturer and company guidelines
• Respond to urgent equipment issues or on-call emergencies
• Keep work areas, tools, and parts organized and clean
• Collaborate with senior technicians and operations staff to prioritize repairs and improve workflow

What You’ll Do

• Assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs on arcade games, small rides, and attractions

• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory

• Collaborate with senior technicians and operations staff to prioritize repair work and improve workflow

Qualifications & Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical or technical skills

• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift moderate weight, stand for long periods, and climb ladders as needed
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and respond to on-call emergencies

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in maintenance, technical repair, or industrial/arcade equipment
• Exposure to amusement rides, go-karts, or arcade systems
• Basic experience reading wiring diagrams or service manuals
