Job Description: Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Maintenance Manager/General Manager

As a Maintenance Technician, you play a vital role in maintaining and repairing attractions, arcade games, and park equipment to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
All Maintenance Technicians are considered Team Members and are expected to support overall park operations through cross-training, operational flexibility, and shared cleaning responsibilities. Cross-training is a standard expectation of employment and does not automatically result in a pay increase.
What You’ll Do:
Maintenance & Repairs:
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on attractions, arcade, and go-karts for maximum reliability and uptime
- Perform prompt repairs to minimize downtime and enhance the guest experience
- Oversee daily appearance and performance checks on go-karts and tracks, reporting any concerns to management
Documentation & Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and ongoing projects
- Keep up-to-date logs for preventative maintenance as per manufacturer and company standards
- Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, notifying management of any needs
Safety & Cleanliness:
- Ensure that work areas, go-kart pit and shop area, and track areas are clean, safe, and organized at all times
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safety-focused attitude in all tasks
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring the safety of guests and staff
Cleanliness & Facility Standards:
- Maintain cleanliness of attractions and surrounding areas
- Wipe down surfaces, sweep, empty trash, clean restrooms, and complete assigned cleaning tasks
- Respond promptly to spills or hazards to ensure a safe environment
- Perform cleaning duties when assigned, even if a custodian is scheduled
- Communicate daily with team members to coordinate efforts and address any issues.
Training & Knowledge Development:
- Stay informed about industry best practices through study, training, and networking.
- Serve as a resource for all attraction-related inquiries and be available for on-call emergencies.
Operational Duties:
- Perform opening, running, and closing duties for the department as scheduled.
- Prepare attractions throughout the week to ensure smooth weekend operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, assisting with general park cleaning as needed.
- Operate attractions and provide guest support in line with safety and service standards.
- Complete additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by management..
Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with maintenance and repairs.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to work up to 30 hours per week, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
