Join TreeHoppers, the largest aerial adventure park in Central Florida, as an Attraction Maintenance Technician. You'll inspect, maintain, and repair our 10 aerial courses and more than 100 elements, from cables, zip lines, and platforms to harnesses and safety equipment, so every guest climbs on a course that is safe and in top condition. You'll also have the opportunity to work at our sister parks on the same Dade City property: Snowcat Ridge, Florida's first Alpine Snow Park; Wunder Glow, our holiday light experience; and SCREAM-A-GEDDON, Florida's Premier Horror Park. This is a great opportunity to use your mechanical skills on a variety of one-of-a-kind attractions throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of the aerial and ground elements before guests climb, and record what you find
• Inspect, maintain, and replace cables, zip lines, lifelines, platforms, bridges, ropes, and wooden elements
• Inspect and maintain harnesses, lanyards, and continuous belay equipment, and remove worn or damaged gear from service
• Perform preventive maintenance on schedule to keep attractions safe and reduce breakdowns
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and structural problems quickly and safely so attractions can reopen
• Respond quickly to maintenance calls from park staff during operating hours
• Follow our safety procedures on every job, including fall protection when working at heights and shutting off and locking out power before repairs
• Keep accurate inspection, maintenance, and repair records
• Keep tools, parts, and the maintenance shop organized, and report parts that need to be ordered
• Report safety concerns to a supervisor immediately

Work Areas You May Be Assigned To

• TreeHoppers: Inspect and maintain our aerial courses, zip lines, and climbing equipment
• Snowcat Ridge: Maintain the conveyor lifts and snow tubing lanes, and help rebuild the frozen sliding layer on the snow tubing hill overnight
• Wunder Glow: Repair light displays, interactive experiences, and effects reported by our Light Show Attendants
• SCREAM-A-GEDDON: Maintain and repair haunted house sets, props, and effects

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Experience maintaining or repairing equipment, machinery, or structures
• Able to use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment safely
• Comfortable working at heights of 30 feet or more using fall protection, ladders, and aerial lifts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Able to work independently and follow written procedures and checklists
• Own reliable transportation
• Able to pass a drug test
• Available for a flexible schedule, including early mornings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays when park schedules require
• Able to stand, walk, climb, and kneel for up to 8 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and various weather conditions

Helpful but Not Required

• Experience maintaining ropes courses, zip lines, amusement rides, or other attractions
• Training or certification from the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT)
• Electrical, welding, carpentry, or rigging experience
• Experience operating aerial lifts, forklifts, or skid steers
