Job summary

Urban Air Adventure Parks in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Attractions Technician to maintain and service all attractions and related equipment. The role requires self-motivation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment to keep attractions operating safely and reliably.

You will document repairs, assist with diagnostics, manage tools and inventory, and uphold safety standards under supervision. Position requires 18+, a high school diploma or GED, and shifts including nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED; or 1 year related experience or training; or equivalent education.
• Some knowledge of amusement equipment preferred but not required.
• Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic working knowledge of hand tools.
• General knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.

• Responsible for maintaining work area and back end in a neat and orderly manner
• Maintain adequate supply of tools and machinery

• Maintain a safe work environment and assist Supervisor to ensure staff adheres to all safety rules
• Advise Supervisor on any problems and/or potential problems discovered during maintenance of Attractions
• Ability to work various shifts and regular attendance is a requirement for the role
• Perform other related duties as assigned

This role will be responsible for the maintenance and appearance of all attractions. The Attractions Technician will assist with facilitating the repair and maintenance of our attractions and any associated equipment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Some knowledge of amusement equipment is preferred but not required
• Work flexibility (nights, weekends and holidays, as needed)
• Basic working knowledge of hand tools
• General knowledge of related OSHA regulations and safety practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Work in noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
• Move about facility and stand for long periods of time (over 2/3 of the time)
• Standing, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling
• Requires ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 300 lbs. (70+ pounds with the assistance of a dolly)
• Ability to wear personal protective gear
• While performing the duties of this job, the Attractions Technician is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and use hands and fingers to operate various tools (i.e. drills, ladders, chemicals, etc.).
