About the Role

The Attorney Support Assistant is a key member of Latham’s Attorney Support team, responsible for assisting summer associates and attorneys from first to fourth year with various administrative tasks. This role involves working in a global team environment using a real-time work ticketing system (ServiceNow). The position is based in our Chicago office and requires in-office presence five days a week during the initial 90-day training period. Afterwards, the schedule will be three days in-office and two days remote weekly.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily time entry, expense reimbursement, calendaring, scheduling, document management, and travel arrangements
  • Proactively learning internal systems and processes to find innovative solutions
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information

We’re looking for candidates who:

  • Have professional communication skills to effectively interact with attorneys, clients, vendors, and staff
  • Take initiative and can work independently or in teams with a customer service focus
  • Can multi-task and adapt to evolving technology platforms

Qualifications include:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Prior experience in a legal or professional services environment is preferred
