Job summary

BakerHostetler is seeking a dynamic Attorney Recruiting Manager for our Chicago office. You will lead attorney recruiting for Chicago and Denver, overseeing partner, lateral, entry-level, and summer associate hiring with direct reporting to the Director of Recruiting.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, candidate management, and collaboration with leadership, search firms, and campus partners to grow the firm’s talent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of law firm recruiting experience.
• Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, Firm Prospects, and other search tools.
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of viGlobal Suite is a plus.
• Experience using advanced interviewing techniques.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies for partner, lateral, entry-level, and summer associate hiring across Chicago and Denver.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, onboarding.
• Manage search firm relationships and active candidate engagement.
• Oversee hiring committee processes and recruiting operations.
• Direct the summer associate program, mentorship, and evaluations.
• Coordinate law school outreach, interviews, job fairs, and events.
• Plan and manage recruiting events and budgets for Chicago and Denver.
