Job summary

Kaufman & Canoles’ Raleigh office is seeking qualified attorneys with 6+ years of experience to help grow services across healthcare, labor/employment, ESOPs & employee benefits, defense contracting, public finance, bankruptcy and commercial real estate.

Candidates should possess strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills and be proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel. Admission to the NC Bar or waiver eligibility is required, with ongoing licensure included.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from ABA-accredited law school.
• Active NC Bar admission or waiver eligibility.

• Minimum of six years of relevant legal experience.

As part of the firm’s recent expansion into North Carolina, the Kaufman & Canoles Raleigh office is seeking qualified attorneys. While open to candidates across practice areas, the firm is specifically looking to build out existing services in the areas of healthcare, labor/employment, ESOPs & employee benefits, defense contracting, public finance, bankruptcy, and commercial real estate. The successful candidate will have 6 or more years of relevant experience, demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Required Skills:

1. Six or more years relevant job experience in the legal field is preferred.
2. Skilled at meeting deadlines under significant time pressure
3. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism and client orientation
4. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently.
5. Ability to manage time and resources effectively and independently

Education:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association with an outstanding academic record
2. Admission to the North Carolina Bar in good standing or the ability to waive in
3. During employment, must meet requirement for continuing licensure for law practice; some opportunities for obtaining in-house CLE through Kaufman & Canoles will be available
