Job summary

The TemPositions Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Attorney Phone Advisor to join its Legal Counsel Team in Hauppauge, NY. The role focuses on providing telephone legal information and guidance to members, without a traditional caseload.

Initially onsite for training, the position transitions to remote work after successful training completion. Must be a licensed NY attorney with strong communication and client-service skills, willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Active admission and good standing with the New York State Bar.
• Must have been admitted to the New York Bar prior to 2021.
• Experienced or retired attorneys welcome, with strong research and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming member calls and provide legal information and advice by telephone.
• Identify, assess, and analyze members' legal questions and concerns.
• Ask pertinent questions, actively listen, and synthesize information to understand the client's issue.
• Document calls and guidance accurately in proprietary case-management software.
