Job summary

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Virginia Bar license in good standing.
• 3+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience; more senior candidates are welcome.
• Experience handling pre-litigation matters from intake through settlement.
• Strong negotiation and client communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters through the pre-litigation process.
• Meet with clients and evaluate their claims, injuries, and damages.
• Review medical records, accident reports, and other case documentation.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and overall case value.
• Prepare demand packages and settlement correspondence.
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters and work toward maximizing client recovery.
• Communicate regularly with clients and guide them through the claims process.
• Evaluate settlement offers and advise clients regarding resolution.
• Work closely with paralegals and other members of the legal team to move cases forward.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure deadlines are met.

Coastal Management Solutions is partnering with a well-established plaintiff personal injury law firm in Norfolk, VA that is looking to add an experienced Pre-Litigation Attorney to its team.

This is an opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working directly with clients, evaluating personal injury claims, negotiating with insurance carriers, and helping clients reach successful resolutions without the case going to litigation.
