Key Responsibilities

Legal Practice & Case Management

Manage complex employment law matters including:

Discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour claims, FMLA, and compliance issues

Represent corporate clients before state/federal courts, EEOC, and DOL

Provide ongoing legal advice and risk mitigation strategies to employers

Client Development & Relationship Management

Grow and manage a robust portfolio of business clients

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients with strategic, tailored legal guidance

Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing teams

Participate in speaking engagements, CLEs, and industry events

Team Leadership & Strategy

Lead a team of attorneys and legal staff in the Employment Law Unit

Mentor junior attorneys and encourage professional development

Participate in strategic planning for the department and firm-wide initiatives

Cross-Practice Collaboration

Work closely with attorneys across practice groups, including General Liability and Corporate

Develop integrated legal solutions in collaboration with other Unit Leads

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar

Minimum 5 years of employment law defense experience

Proven experience managing or mentoring attorneys or teams

Portable book of business strongly preferred or a demonstrated ability to develop business
