Liberty Mutual is seeking an Attorney Manager to lead a litigation-focused legal team within its Tucson-area office. You will oversee operations, manage a caseload, and drive performance while upholding MRPC and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• J.D. or LL.B. from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission to at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 5 years as practicing trial attorney with management experience.
• Strong litigation skills in insurance defense incl. auto, premises liability, general liability and workers’ comp/No Fault.
• Proven leadership abilities in managing and developing legal teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of ethics, compliance standards and risk management.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with claims and business partners.
• Proficient in leveraging technology and process improvements in legal ops.
• Strong organizational skills and workflow/caseload management.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Operational management and oversight of team operations and office metrics.
• Manage litigation activities within the team and personal caseload.
• Oversee caseload distribution based on case complexity and experience.
• Conduct internal file audits and support audits to uphold quality standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with claims leadership and business units.
• Support process improvements to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of integrity, regulatory compliance, and MRPC adherence.
• Assist in talent acquisition, mentoring, coaching and development.
