Hudson Manpower Inc. is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney for our North Jersey team. The ideal candidate will handle a caseload independently while collaborating with senior litigators and leadership, with a preference for experience in New Jersey automobile liability matters.

The role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement and requires a JD, NJ license, and 3–8 years of defense litigation experience. Excellent research and advocacy skills are essential for success.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join the North Jersey team. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3–8 years of insurance defense litigation experience who can independently manage a caseload while collaborating with experienced litigators and firm leadership. Experience handling New Jersey automobile liability matters is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense cases from inception through resolution.

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, briefs, reports, and other litigation documents.

• Conduct and defend depositions, handle motion practice, and appear in court.

• Participate in arbitrations and mediations and prepare cases for trial.

• Handle automobile liability matters under New Jersey law.

• Maintain strong professional relationships with insurance carriers and claims professionals.

• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.

• Education and Experience Requirements

Required Qualifications

Work Environment

• Flexible hybrid work arrangement.

• Attorneys are generally expected to work from the Jersey City office 2–3 days per week initially, with flexibility in the arrangement.
