Job summary

We Are Legal Revolution is partnering with a well established regional business law firm to seek a mid level Corporate Associate for its Chicago office on a remote basis. You will lead and support corporate transactions for mid-market clients and investors, with direct access to sophisticated matters and substantial client contact from day one.

You will work with senior partners in a compact team, gaining ownership on transactions and a strong platform for long-term advancement in a multi-office

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of corporate experience beyond entity formation.
• Experience handling venture capital, startup transactions, and/or M&A work.
• Admission in Illinois or eligible to gain Illinois bar admission.

• Lead and support corporate transactions for mid-market companies and investors.
• Handle venture capital, startup financing, and M&A matters with increasing deal ownership.
• Draft and negotiate core corporate documents including organizational, governance, and transactional agreements.

This role offers direct access to sophisticated middle market corporate matters for growth focused businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs, together with meaningful client contact from day one. You will work closely with senior partners in a compact team, gaining substantive ownership on transactions and a credible platform for long term advancement in a multi office environment.

The Role

• Lead and support corporate transactions for mid market companies, investors, and entrepreneurial clients
• Handle venture capital, startup financing, and merger and acquisition matters with increasing deal ownership
• Draft and negotiate core corporate documentation, including organizational, governance, and transactional agreements
• Advise clients on entity structure, risk allocation, and day to day corporate and commercial issues
• Work directly with partners on strategy, client development, and cross practice projects

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a mid level Corporate Associate with:

• At least 8 years of corporate experience, including substantive work beyond initial entity formation
• Experience in venture capital, startup transactions, and or merger and acquisition work
• Admission in Illinois or clear eligibility to gain Illinois bar admission
• A Bachelors Degree and a strong record of transactional training
• Fully Remote
• $115,000 to $180,000 base salary, depending on experience
• Reasonable 1,800 hour billable target supporting sustainable workload
