Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking a licensed attorney in good standing with the Virginia Bar to join our regional firm in Laurel, MD. The role focuses on foreclosure, title, bankruptcy, mortgage banking, and creditors' rights with a high-volume caseload and a strong growth trajectory.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of attorney experience, a JD from an accredited law school, and excellent drafting, analytical, and client service skills.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active Virginia Bar license in good standing required.
  • 5+ years of attorney experience required.
  • Experience in title, foreclosure, bankruptcy, mortgage banking, creditors' rights, real estate, or related litigation strongly preferred.
  • Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and case management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize a high-volume caseload involving foreclosure, title, bankruptcy, mortgage banking, and related matters.
  • Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and court procedures.
  • Attend hearings, status conferences, and other court appearances as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal team members.
  • Provide practical, creative legal solutions to mitigate risk and move matters forward.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff across a multi-office team.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced, service-focused practice representing financial institutions and mortgage industry clients.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
