Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Attorney – Family Law [Experienced] role based in Fullerton, CA. There is some flexibility for remote work. The attorney will manage a caseload of family law matters, including dissolution of marriage, custody and visitation, support, and property division. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, preparing discovery, and appearing in court for hearings and trials. The role will also involve participating in mediation and collaborative divorce processes, negotiating settlements, and handling depositions as needed. The attorney will work closely with clients, explain legal options, develop case strategies, and collaborate with the firm’s legal team to achieve effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law and Family Law, with the ability to analyze complex family-related legal issues.
• Experience handling legal issues, including case strategy, client counseling, and courtroom advocacy.
• Proficiency in drafting and arguing motions, including pre-trial and post-judgment filings.
• Experience conducting and defending depositions, and effectively using deposition testimony in negotiations and litigation.
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• Several years of focused experience in family law practice preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear client communication and persuasive advocacy.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to work effectively in mediation and collaborative law settings.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, and trauma-informed, respectful client interactions.
