Role Description

The Senior Attorney will handle a full-time caseload focused on family law matters, working in a hybrid arrangement based in the San Francisco Bay Area with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising clients on divorce, custody, support, and related issues; drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements; and representing clients in negotiations, mediations, collaborative law processes, and court hearings. The role involves conducting legal research, developing case strategies, managing discovery, and coordinating with support staff to ensure timely and accurate case progression. The Senior Attorney will also mentor junior team members, contribute to firm best practices, and maintain high professional and ethical standards in all client interactions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law with demonstrated experience in family law practice and familiarity with Labor and Employment Law as it relates to family matters.
• Proven ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients in complex and sensitive situations.
• Advanced Research skills for statutes, case law, local rules, and evolving family law issues.
• Excellent Negotiation skills for settlement discussions, mediation, and collaborative law settings.
• Active license to practice law in California and in good standing with the State Bar.
• Several years of progressively responsible family law experience, including courtroom appearances and trial work.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting persuasive briefs and presenting arguments in court.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Commitment to client-centered service, professional integrity, and maintaining confidentiality.
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior attorneys or legal staff is beneficial.
