Aligned Labs is seeking part-time, fully remote Consumer & Regulated Products Attorneys to support frontier AI research. Compensation starts at $125–200 USD per hour, with flexibility depending on the task.

You will evaluate and pressure-test AI models on consumer and regulated products law at an expert level and create graduate-level problems and worked solutions. This role requires a JD from a leading US law school, 5+ years in the field, and the ability to practice in the United States.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in consumer and regulated products law or a closely related field.
• Deep expertise in at least one of the listed areas of consumer and regulated products law.
• JD from a leading US law school and currently practicing.

We are looking to expand our team of expert consultants with Consumer & Regulated Products Attorneys for part-time, fully remote work supporting frontier AI research. Projects start at $125–200 USD / hour, and the bracket can be flexible depending on the task.

This role includes evaluating and pressure-testing leading AI models on expert-level consumer and regulated products law knowledge, creating and verifying graduate-level problems and worked solutions, and assessing whether AI-generated reasoning meets the standards of a trained consumer and regulated products attorney.

Ideal backgrounds include

• Partners, counsel, and senior associates in the consumer protection, advertising, and product safety groups of leading law firms
• Attorneys at FDA, food, drug, and cannabis specialist firms
• Attorneys at gaming and gambling firms
• In-house regulatory counsel at gaming operators
• Attorneys at consumer protection and gaming regulators

Minimum Qualifications

• Fluent English reading and writing skills
• Based in the United States
• JD from a leading US law school and currently practicing
• 5+ years of experience in consumer and regulated products law or a closely related field
