The position is preferably onsite in Rockville, Maryland, with remote arrangements considered for travel to Rockville and court locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of commercial litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Excellent communication, advocacy, analytical, and legal writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a litigation caseload and lead case teams.
• Maryland Bar admission required; DC/VA admission a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex commercial litigation matters from case assessment through verdict, trial, and appeal where applicable.
• Serve as first chair at trials, arbitrations, and evidentiary hearings in state and federal courts.
• Develop litigation strategy; oversee drafting of motions, discovery, and memoranda.
• Manage client relationships and be primary contact on active matters.
• Take and defend depositions; mentor associates and paralegals on case teams.

This is a senior trial attorney role for a litigator prepared to lead complex commercial matters from case assessment through verdict.
