We Are Legal Revolution is working discreetly with a highly regarded national full service firm with Chambers ranked practices seeking a 4th to 8th year Real Estate Finance Associate to join its Washington, DC office. This role sits in a well established commercial real estate finance team handling sophisticated middle market and institutional transactions for lenders and borrowers.

Qualifications

• 4th to 8th year associate class experience at a law firm
• Significant broad based commercial real estate finance experience for lenders and/or borrowers
• Experience or clear desire to first chair transactions and independently run deals with team support
• Strong drafting skills and client-facing written and verbal communication abilities
• Admission to the District of Columbia bar and willingness to be in office 5 days a week
• Up to $365,000 base salary, depending on class year and experience
• Performance based bonus opportunity in line with comparable national firm roles

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders and borrowers in a broad range of commercial real estate finance transactions
• Structure and execute mortgage loans, construction loans, leverage loans, and mezzanine financings
• Draft and negotiate credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and ancillary documentation
• Lead day to day deal management, coordinate with opposing counsel, and communicate directly with client teams
• First chair transactions with partner support while mentoring juniors and contributing to practice development
